By closing your eyes and relaxing your body, you naturally activate the parts of your brain that induce a state of trance. When you do your brain moves from its Beta brain wave patterns into the Alpha and Theta bandwidths, where the areas of your brain associated with your external senses and critical thinking are inhibited. This amplifies the neural pathways in your brain that account for its ability to develop new neural patterns, strengthen new connections, alter dysfunctional-maladaptive programming, and heal-release unresolved trauma.
